Toys for Joy

LINC Houston is an organization that plants churches among our culturally diverse
communities.  Currently we have over 30 mission groups worshiping in more than 8
different languages.  Most of our missionaries are working in neighborhoods that are
primarily low  income families who can barely meet basic needs of food and housing.

At Christmas, our missionaries distribute toys to families in their community who cannot afford them, families with whom they want to share the story of God’s Christmas gift of Jesus.
There are several ways for you to be part of this ministry.

Hold a toy drive.  Some groups decorate a Christmas tree with paper ornaments that designate gender and age group.  Donors choose the ornament, buy the gift, wrap it and attach the ornament to identify the recipient.  We suggest an age group of infant to 12 years of age, with cost of gift not to exceed $10.00

Take a door offering or ask for special offering and let LINC volunteers do the shopping and wrapping.

The need this year is bigger than ever.  Through our continued work with families whose
homes - and lives - were torn apart by Hurricane Ike, our list of needs gets longer and
longer.  It is our vision that through a continued, intentional relationship with these
families, the Good News of Jesus Christ will be shared and they will come to know
Him as Lord & Savior.
