LINC Houston is partnering with the US Census Bureau to help our neighbors be counted. The statistics generated by the census provide critical data to those allocating funds. For Harris County, census data helps determine our funding allocations for education, transportation, vital social services, healthcare, job training and more. This data also determines who will represent Harris County in Congress and the State Legislature. Thanks to a grant to United Way, LINC is able to hold training with our ministry leaders, along with town hall meetings in various communities.

Through Praise and Worship, Bible Study, presentations and round-table discussions, we once again refocused our minds on the reason that God has called us to work for Him. God has truly blessed us with a diverse and dedicated group of leaders across the city who are passionate about transforming our communities with the message of the Gospel.

LINC Houston continues to restore homes throughout the city that were damaged by Hurricane Ike. We have recently entered into an agreement with Neighborhood Center, Inc. that will enable us to perform repairs to over 200 homes this year. While funds are available to perform most of the needed repairs on each house, there isn't always enough to finish the job completely. Every dollar we save on painting gives us more available funds for other needed repairs on the home.
We are seeking volunteer teams over the next 2-4 weeks that will paint houses. Groups can work during the week…
