We believe that an intentional leadership development process can multiply glocal-missional leaders. It is absolutely crucial to have leaders to plant new missions/ministries in the vast mission field of Texas and beyond. LINC has a “farm system” for equipping and sending of new missionary pastors, church planters, and deaconess for the mission field.

St. Timothy Lutheran Church put their faith into action this Sunday on behalf of LINC Houston.  At all three worship services, Pastor Steve Henze cut his sermon short and encouraged those in attendance to go out and purchase food to help stock LINC's food pantry.  Volunteers from a bible study fellowship along with St. Timothy Lutheran worked from 7 am until mid afternoon loading donated goods into a large trailer.  Throughout the morning and early afternoon, worship-goers came back with trunk-loads full of food and the trailer began to fill up.  

In July, Lifebridge Church partnered with the Eritrean Evangelical Church to bring Vacation Bible School to Los Arcos Apartments.  The beautiful children, most not English-speaking, caught the hearts of the adults who facilitated the VBS.

One of teens helping with our summer program asked if we are going to have an after-school program this fall. He needs help with math. DJ came to us from SER - Jobs for Progress, through a program for teens who must meet financial criteria and prove need. He can't afford to pay a tutor and he wants to get into a good college. There are many DJ's in our community. When a teen has the courage to ask for the help he or she needs to meet goals they have set, we want to be able to provide it!…

It broke our hearts last year when several mothers came to our offices a week into the school year to ask for assistance. Their children didn't yet have school uniforms and weren't allowed to attend school. We quickly did something about it and were able to help several families purchase uniforms and supplies.
